One of the FDA’s concerns was the Diethylene Glycol Content.  The content found was a trace amount.
An interesting fact is that Diethylene glycol is listed as a “non-tobacco” ingredient in Philip Morris brand cigarettes according to their website, and has been used for the last 100 years because they state it is better for your throat.

If you want to protect your access to the electronic cigarette, write your assembly men and women immediately and voice your opinion.

Richard J. Leon, A U.S. District Judge decided that the FDA could not stop companies from importing electronic cigarettes. “This case appears to be yet another example of FDA’s aggressive efforts to regulate recreational tobacco products as drugs or devices,” the judge wrote in his opinion. He also referred to the FDA’s efforts as a “tenacious drive to maximize its regulatory power.”     WE ARE ADULTS, and should be able to DECIDE what kind of cigarettes WE WANT to smoke!!  Thank you Judge Leon.
